I have lived in Budleigh Salterton for almost two years & I am currently a home dad to three tearaways.

I studied at Southampton Faculty of Art & Design but as an artist I consider myself to be self taught. My career, for the last 12 years, has been teaching autistic children.

Since living in Devon I have been inspired by the range and depth of the Devon seascapes & I currently enjoy capturing local scenes in a traditional or impressionistic style. I am always on the hunt for a foreboding, dramatic sky & I love to observe & capture the way low or obscured light behaves on water or how it catches small areas on a landscape.

My abstract work often has a geometric element to it and I experiment with shapes & colours, sometimes combining a photographic style onto an abstract background. I find the switching of styles balances out my creativity. I have exhibited locally as well as in Hampshire & Norwich & have sold work in the UK & overseas.

I sign my work CMH.

Thanks for looking at my pictures.
